Springfield Forest Reserve
Fifteen minutes drive from Scottsdale through true beer hops, dairying, and trout farming country, you will arrive at a pristine grassy picnic ground surrounded by towering Californian redwoods. Then take the twenty minute arboretum loop walk through majestic pines, typical Australian bush, superbly lush wet forest, very English poplars and dark and mysterious woods.

Rawhide
Rawhide is located on Scottsdale Road, just four miles north of Bell Road in Scottsdale, Arizona. Town built in 1880's provides the very best western experience with a full day of family adventure, including over twenty rides, games and attractions, and daily performances by our high-falling' Rough Rider stunt men with lots of shop and restaurants around. Timings: 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily.

Mt Stronach
10 minutes walking from central Scottsdale. Just drive south on the Tasman Highway and turn left at Flowers by Arrangement. This is a very popular climb, and takes about 45 minutes to get up there, and it is quite easy. The first section is steep, and then levels off. The track is marked. At the end you will arrive at a large granite outcrop and you will be rewarded with spectacular views of the northeast

Desert Botanical Garden
Desert Botanical Garden purpose is to exhibit, conserve, study and disseminate knowledge of arid-land plants of the world, with a particular emphasis on succulents and the native flora of the Southwestern United States.

Cuckoo Falls
A real Scottsdale tradition, drive through the superb hop country around Scottsdale, 10 minutes to the south, and turn right at the sign at Tonganah. Arrive at the car park with great expectations. The walk is a slow uphill climb for about an hour or slightly more on the way to the falls, and then downhilll on the way back, so it is about 2 to 3 hours return. The falls are great. .

Phoenix Arts and Culture
Phoenix Art Museum was founded in 1949 and opened in 1959. At over 160,000 square feet, it is one of the largest general visual arts institutions in the Southwest. Hosting over 567,000 visitors in 1999, providing privileges to over 22,000 Museum members, and reaching an additional 40,000 through its outreach programs, Phoenix Art Museum offers something for everyone in the family.

Scottsdale Cultural Council
The Scottsdale Cultural Council, a private, non-profit management organization, administers the arts and cultural affairs of the City of Scottsdale, Arizona, and manages the Scottsdale Center for the Arts, Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art and the Scottsdale Arts Festival.

The Heard Museum (Native Cultures & Art)
The Heard Museum in Phoenix, Arizona, is a private, non-profit museum founded in 1929 by Dwight B. and Maie Bartlett Heard to house their personal collection of cultural and fine art. The mission and philosophy of the Heard today is to educate the public about the heritage and the living cultures and arts of Native peoples, with an emphasis on the peoples of the Southwest.
